Jean Genet: Entretien avec Antoine Bourseiller
Synopsis
“I don’t know why I shouldn’t talk about myself. I’m the person who knows the most about myself. Right?” So begins a fascinatingly frank conversation with the great French writer Jean Genet (aged 71 at the time), who talks at length about lovers, friends and his prison experiences.

Our take
Spend time with the transgressive French artist Jean Genet himself in Antoine Bourseiller’s short feature, made 5 years before Genet’s death. A film-interview that provides a picture and reflection of one of the 20th century’s most influential creators.
