Laetitia and Sophie go to Brittany for a weekend in Quimper, Laetitia’s home town. During their stay, punctuated by crêpes, walks on the beach and visits to the local club, the Masked Sailor, a childhood crush of Laetitia’s, makes an appearance.

Sophie Letourneur’s lesser-known short film Le marin masqué stands between her playful comic style and a more experimental approach. The self-derisory use of non-synchronous sound paired with grainy black and white cinematography highlights the women characters’ whimsical dialogue and thoughts.
