Andros, 1930. Orsa is in love with lieutenant Spiros Maltabes, but when he asks her mother’s permission to marry her, she refuses and marries Orsa off to a captain instead. Years later, Spiros marries Orsa’s younger sister, Moscha. The two couples find themselves living in the same house.
