Three groups of Turkish people are gathering in three European cities (Madrid, Paris, Berlin). Each group is a microcosm of Turkish society in Europe, where these individuals are seeking — or living without — residence permission after years of living like a ghost from one country to next.
As the question of what it means to be European takes on increasing significance, İnan Temelkuran’s Made in Europe feels especially relevant. Set across three capitals, the film uses Turkish culture as a prism to look at how immigration and integration are perceived in different countries.
