The successful knitwear manufacturer Miriam Capell is murdered in her apartment. The main suspect is Franz Villinger, her former lover and closest colleague. This suspicion is confirmed when it becomes known that Franz is having an affair with Barbara Jäger, the charming niece of his jealous boss.
