Finn, a 13-year-old boy bullied at his new school is feeling hopeless until he meets Marshall, a labrador who is being caged up by a dog-hoarder in deplorable conditions. Finn discovers that Marshall is seriously injured and decides to save him. A strong friendship immediately starts between them.
