Our take
A fateful meeting of lost souls ignites a journey towards redemption in Marc Forster’s compelling drama, which tempers tragedy with hope. For her powerful performance which evokes the numbness of grief, Halle Berry became the first—and to date the only—Black woman to win the Oscar® for Best Actress.
