In a community of project houses in Argentina, 17-year-old Iris meets Renata, a young woman with a tough past, and feels immediately attracted to her. She will have to overcome her fears and struggle with her insecurities in order to experience first love.

Our take

Refreshingly defying queer stereotypes, Clarisa Navas’ sophomore feature is fuelled by the free-form force of nature that is desire. Immersive long takes allow us to truly inhabit the space—a housing project where the filmmaker grew up—and triumphantly reveal how tenderness can grow amid hostility.
