Synopsis

Our take

Angélique is not our usual protagonist: a 60-year-old working-class woman, a bartender at a nightclub dissatisfied with her (love) life. For Party Girl, part character study and part family drama, director Marie Amachoukeli-Barsacq won the Cannes Festival’s Camera d’Or award for Best First Feature.
