Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
Ka-Kui is a Hong Kong Police Officer, who single-handedly arrested the drug lord Chu Tao. Chu is released soon after and frames Ka-Kui for the murder of another cop. Ka-Kui now has to clear his name, keep himself from getting killed, and protect the case’s star witness, Selina, from retribution.
Screen physicality rarely comes as dazzling as this. Chaplin, Keaton, Kelly, Astaire—Jackie Chan gives them all a run for their money. If you’ve never seen a Jackie Chan film, you need to watch Police Story. If you’ve seen all of Jackie Chan’s films, you pressed play long before reading this.
