When Count Brisson return to his castle he finds his wife’s side of the bed empty. He finds her in the arms of a stranger in his study. Furious the Count hands the stranger a gun screaming – Defend yourself villain! Shots are fired in the dark and the stranger falls. The wife Irene begs forgiveness.
