Genre legend Stuart Gordon took on the censors with this lurid mad-scientist horror—a clammily madcap exploitation film that puts the erection in resurrection. With its splattery whack-a-mole skirmishes and rip-roaringly gory effects, Re-Animator is a cult favorite and a gem of Lovecraftian cinema.
