In 1976, when he was 19 years old, Massimo Carlotto was accused of a murder for which he was only meant to bear witness. He was to spend 6 years in prison, 5 years on the run and was to undergo 11 trials. His legal odyssey and ended in 1993, when he was pardonned by the President of Italy.
