Samurai Kids is a family movie directed by Obayashi and starring Tsutomu Yamazaki, Ittoku Kishibe and Tomoyo Harada. It looks like a Japanese version of The Indian in a Cupboard (Lynne Reid Banks, 1980) but it’s in fact adapted from an original Japanese novel written by Masumi Suetani.
