Synopsis

Living alone in her flat, 12-year-old Georgie must confront reality when her estranged father, Jason, shows up out of nowhere. Uninterested in a new parental figure, she remains resistant to his efforts. As they both adjust, Georgie and Jason find that they have a lot of growing up to do.

Our take

Filled with a mischievous sense of humor and knockout performances, Charlotte Regan’s feature debut adds vibrant color and bags of fun to social realist cinema. As an estranged dad and daughter who are reunited, Harris Dickinson and newcomer Lola Campbell delight in this playful, yet poignant film.
