1930s. The heyday of Ukrainian art. In a new luxury “Slovo” House built specifically for artists, there happily settles an ambitious young poet, Vladimir Akimov. He, a guy from the provinces, who works as a proof-reader in a printing house, lives under one roof with prominent Ukrainian artists.
