In 1918 Adelaide Coelho da Cunha, daughter of the founder of the “Daily News” is married to the paper’s director. A cultured and determined woman, she becomes involved with his driver. The husband in interned in a lunatic asylum, and declared irresponsible and incapable of managing their property.
