Runaway bride Remember Steddon, believing she married in haste, abandons her husband Owen Scudder and lands in a desert where a film is being shot by the director Frank Claymore. Later, she moves to Hollywood to try her hand at being an actress and is pursued by her leading man Tom Holby.
