Based on a short story by Zijo Dizdarevic. Jozo and Mujo are drafted in the Austro-Hungarian Army. Reluctantly drawn into the war they make a bond of unbreakable friendship. In order to accomplish the plan of leaving the much hated military service, Jozo pretends to be deaf and dumb.
