Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
Jonathan and Yesi, two garbage men enamored with one another, traipsing the streets of Mexico City and commute with all that is disgusting and discarded, surrounded by gangs of bad or broken people. In this world, they cannot keep their hands clean of violence.
The second feature from Mexican director and film programmer Michel Lipkes (Malaventura) is a surrealist take on the themes of machismo and narco-brutality. Shot in luscious black-and-white, the film tackles the raw violence and melodramatic contrasts of life in Mexico City’s underworld.
