It is Anders T. Andersen’s adaptation of Tarjei Vesaas’ 1957 novel ‘Fuglane’. The story follows Mattis, a man in a rural part of Norway trying to assert his place in the world. He lives with his sister, Hege, who knits jumpers for a living. Things start to change leading to a crisis for Mattis.
