Cary, Shep, Bill and Francis are American pilots suffering from shell shock after World War 1. Feeling somehow lost, they linger in Paris living it up drinking and having fun. In a club they meet Nikki, and adopt her as a sort of mascot and she does her best to reinvigorate her new friends.
