Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.
The Signal is told in three parts, in which all telecommunication and audiovisual devices transmit only a mysterious signal turning people mad and activating murderous behaviour in many of those affected.
Utilising its low budget to imaginative and effective ends, this apocalyptic triptych takes the ubiquitous influence of the mass media machine and forges a sharp blend of conspiracy thriller and straight-up horror. Fans of Romero, Carpenter and (especially) Cronenberg will most definitely approve.
