In 1960s Quebec, Agathe, imaginative asthmatic child, grows up lulled by the sounds of a night train that awaken in her an elusive elsewhere. Her mother Thérèse, secretary by day and artist by night, weaves a tender and offbeat everyday world with her friend Maurice, flamboyant fashion designer.
