The Swedish actress Kristina Söderbaum became known in 1938 with the film Jugend and in the following years under the director Veit Harlan (who made himself a handyman of the Nazi propaganda machine with the films Jud Süß and Kolberg) one of the most popular film actresses in the Third Reich.
