The series revolves around rakugo, a traditional form of Japanese comedic storytelling. Nagase Tomoya portrays Toraji, a yakuza who wants to become a rakugo performer, while Okada Junichi portrays Ryuji, a talented rakugo performer who wants to leave it behind to become a fashion designer.
