For more than a century, from 1810 to 1940, men have exhibited other men by presenting them as savages or monsters. More than a billion and a half visitors came to observe 35,000 exhibited around the world: Patagonian fuégienne, Tambo, aboriginal of Australia, Pygmy of Congo, Kanak of New Caledonia.
