Our take

A rapidly changing rural society, deeply divided along cultural and economic lines, takes center stage in this intimately observed melodrama from Feyzi Tuna. Adapted from the groundbreaking novel by Sabahattin Ali, Yusuf of Kuyucak is a visually arresting account of an impossible love story
