Following her mother’s death, Zaina, a wilful twelve-year-old, is entrusted to her father Mustapha, a nomad. Zaina joins Mustapha on his journey through the Atlas mountains,leading his tribe’s thoroughbreds to Marrakech to participate in the Agdal, a prestigious horse race.
