After her ice palace melts in the spring thaw the fox commandeers the hares house, leaving him homeless. The hares crying brings helpers to him in the form of the big grey wolf, Misha Bear and the bull; yet all are scared off by the fox’s temper, leaving the hare more crestfallen as he wallows.
