  • anarresti's rating of the film 2081

Not as complex as 1995's Harrison Bergeron. In 2009, the people demand not a candid hero, but a strong one, a fierce hero that breaks shackles and looks mediocrity in the eye. Still, the same hilarious misunderstanding of the egalitarian issue. But there is (was already) a great cinematic existentialist dark response in 1989 short animated Balance. The two work together as an argument. An impossible debate.
