A recently divorced, work-obsessed lab technician finds herself encountering a whole new world of experience when she attends an important scientific conference in Paris, in this charmingly offbeat comedy from Norwegian master Bent Hamer.

Bent Hamer is a fine ethnographer and a master storyteller. This is the kind a comedy that an Hollywood director - using the same source material - would have failed miserably. 1001 Grams is Hamer's best movie since Kitchen Stories.
From the director of "Eggs", comes another quirky and borderline absurdist comedy. This was a thoroughly enjoyable and very well done film, and I just can't for the life of me understand why this director isn't a household name here in Norway. Definitely one of the more gifted guys in his field, and still nobody's heard of him. If you get the chance though, watch it.
