Synopsis

During the height of the pandemic, Shirin returns to her family home to care for her dying, estranged father. Convinced he has hours to live, she summons her siblings—but her paranoia has already sealed him away. As buried conflicts resurface, an unexpected bond offers a fragile chance at healing.

Our take

Enclosure in a small space generates unexpected revelations in Emre Mirza’s engrossing chamber piece, in which silence weighs heavily and dialogue cuts close to the bone. With nerve and metronomic precision, a formidable ensemble cast carries every charged exchange one tight breath at a time.
