Our take

The first installment in Ceylan Özgün Özçelik’s Witch Trilogy, this spellbinding short turns its limited setting into a creative triumph. With the help of meticulous set design and razor-sharp camera movement, Özçelik perfectly captures a young girl’s psyche in a world of patriarchal oppression.
