For self-important film snobs, probably no but for 23 year olds wishing they were still enjoying the sweet sixteens, absolutely yes. I am the latter. In comparison to other pre-teen 00's films at least it has an entertaining narrative and a thriller dance scene. So don't hate, appreciate cause it could be way worse, and I totally identify with the photography dweeb that loves Talking Heads.
"Big" for young girls. Jennifer Garner charms as a grown-up child and she is exceptionally good during her fish-out-of-water scenes and when she gets to kid around, but the film itself has a terrible script and stereotyphical behavior from almost every supporting character. Mark Ruffalo also do a likeable love interest role and Andy Serkis show his best comedic talents i a thankless role.
For a teen-girly-comedie, it was more then I expected (=nothing). Of course Jeniffer Garner keeps her terrible acting, and her silly-teenager face, maybe that's why she's so good for this role. But Mark Ruffalo always gets a movie, even the bad ones, an extra star.
