The film documents the genesis of the recordings and production of some music pieces by the band Kreidler that were released on their album ABC in May 2014. Continuous, long, observing filmic shots were taken. The recordings were made from 8 to 12 October 2013 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Reinforcing the rhythmic nature of Emigholz’s decoupage while casually suggesting a nascent cosmopolitan streak, the film is a hypnotizing reconciliation of setting, space, and process.

You can zone in or out, allowing thoughts to drift to how much the guy manning the computer stand in the band might have been a founding member of Kraftwerk were he around all those years ago or to mental notes to check up on what’s made Tbilisi such an architectural mishmash. All in all, not one of Emigholz’s strongest entries, but it’s fine.
