Our take
A masterpiece of the commedia all’italiana tradition, Dino Risi’s astute satire boasts a legendary pairing of two 1960s stars: Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant. Speeding through Italy’s scenic hotspots, this tragicomic adventure lays bare the anxieties masked by the gloss of consumerism.
