Our take
Javier Bardem is a charismatic man thwarted by the blunt forces of capitalism in Fernando León de Aranoa’s award-winning drama. A compassionate portrait of jobless people struggling to find their place, this bittersweet film quietly celebrates the camaraderie that helps them survive.
