Produced by Luca Guadagnino, Giovanni Tortorici’s debut feature quivers with the inchoate longings and bitter frustrations of its titular awkward age. Between bouts of rebellion and pangs of ennui, Manfredi Marini’s candid turn brims with the nervous hopefulness of young adulthood, so easily dashed.
