Our take
A Mexico City in twinkling repose forms the backdrop to this disarmingly sweet tale of intergenerational friendship, in which wry humor overcomes sullen alienation. Dodging overwrought sentiment with droll, humanist restraint, this soulful film hums with irrepressible joie de vivre.
