Two sisters on Mexican vacation are trapped in a shark observation cage at the bottom of the ocean, with oxygen running low and great whites circling nearby, they have less than an hour of air left to figure out how to get to the surface.

'So were stuck in a shark cage 47 meters down on the ocean floor and there is a known maneater swimming around...I know lets keep getting out of the cage we won't get eaten' Dumb as a box of hammers this summertime shark film is passable entertainment in that leave your brain at the door kind of way.
Originally set for a humble video-on-demand release, 47 Meters Down tries to capitalize on last year's early-summer surprise The Shallows and falls short. Not only does it swerve away from a truly great, melancholic ending ala The Mist, its repetitive underwater photography and subpar scenes of survival basically encourage your mind to wander. Occasionally commendable, mostly forgettable.
