Synopsis

The third part in Arslan’s trilogy about Turkish youth growing up in Germany, focusing on 21-year-old Deniz during one long, labyrinth-like day in her life, in which she experiences everything that takes place around her with a feverish intensity.

Our take

In the contemplative, romantic end to Thomas Arslan’s “Berlin Trilogy”, it is no coincidence that a young actress dubs Éric Rohmer into German and recites the story of À nos amours by heart. A Fine Day is easily comparable to such classics of art cinema—and we defy you not to fall in love with it.
