What are people saying?

  • Daniel S.'s rating of the film A Message to Garcia

First personification of a non American/English character by Barbara Stanwyck. Here, she plays a Cuban (yes, I know, but it's Hollywood) resistant fighter. But the show is elsewhere, you have to see Wallace Beery savagely beating dozens of alligators with a sugar cane if you don't want to die stupid. A vicious scene of torture and Barbara operated on without anesthesia proove that it's still a precode movie.
