Set across England, the United States, and Vietnam, this vibrant musical uses the songs of The Beatles to shape its romantic tale of an upper-class American girl who falls for a young artist during the 1960s.

I don't understand the hate for the film. It is an entertaining film with a good story and other technical aspects. Taymor's vision is spectacular as she traces the life and development of this group of friends. I am not a music purist, so I don't know how it has "butchered" The Beatles. I feel that the film transcends by exploring how they affected American culture and society.
like a 2 hour + episode of Glee, with a few interesting ideas and some decent covers, but not nearly enough to make up for the songs which they butchered. I'm all for beatles covers, but only in talented hands. That said I did like the "I want you" sequence and the "Revolution" sequence. But other than that it's the most tedious music video I've ever seen.
