I ask you: how do we account for the machine-tooled excellence of these goofy, slapdash spaghettis? ADIÓS, SABATA, I declare you case in point. The freewheeling camera would seem to parallel the spirited mayhem, but again and again you realize you are watching something that is extremely well put together. Defiantly, delightfully philistine ... w/ a total mastery of montage. Featuring Yul at his most Robert Blake.
