Eerie hallucination/dream sequences, a great tracking shot, and nice use of deep focus, but otherwise stale and very stagey. Which probably is typical for silents of this era, but overall I didn't connect with this.
Full of mystery and obsession, this haunting short film blends reality and dreams and lets the audience decide if his troubles are manifestations of guilt or something more supernatural.

Perhaps Yevgeni's most ambitious film, certainly his most memorable. At least for me.
Interesting chiefly for its cinematography.
