  • anarresti's rating of the film Antarctica: A Year on Ice

Very good to compare, and even to watch on a double session with Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World. This one is made by Anthony Powel, who has been working on McMurdo station for years. So it is a perspective of someone that has made Antarctica his life. He gives voices to his fellow Antarctica more or less seasonal workers/inhabitants, and shows the year work human lifecycle of McMurdo and Scott stations.
