A Syfy stillbirth that had the potential to be so much more. It's infuriating when creators squander the inherent strengths of a premise by reverting to tired tropes like murder mystery, sexual intrigue and supernatural hoo-ha. I don't believe for a moment that a cloistered society would remain static for 51 years: the push for equality would have happened anyway. That alone would have made for compelling drama.
