In Hannes Holm’s Behind Blue Skies, Bill Skargard stars as a young man on the cusp of manhood who escapes his troubled home to work at a summer resort, but somehow finds himself embroiled in one of the most scandalous criminal cases in 1970s Sweden.

A nice little coming of age flick via 1970's Sweden that works on several levels about a young boy who takes a summer job on a tourist island and falls in with a crime boss. Not everything is as it appears. There is an odd little simulated blowjob at the start which seems completely unnecessary. Performances are all very good and it has it's heart in the right place but still left me somewhat wanting. 2.5 stars
Martin's summer job gets slowly out of control after he's fired from hotel he's working at and then becomes his boss' right hand man. And falls in love. And almost never sees the buddy he got the job to hang out with. And with a couple additional developments things just start getting darned awkward.
