Ratings & Reviews

  1. FISCHER's rating of the film Black Sunday

Intéressant film d'action où le (véritable) problème politique est en partie occulté...

  2. Terry_Moby's rating of the film Black Sunday

Rock-solid thriller, great performances, tense score - Frankenheimer's alleged 'minor work' puts most of today's action directors to shame.

  3. Ethan's rating of the film Black Sunday

Another solid thriller from one of the great masters of suspense, John Frankenheimer. Bruce Dern is incredible in this film and Robert Shaw is just as badass in this as he was in Jaws.

  4. Nelson Núñez's rating of the film Black Sunday

  5. Spencer Draper's rating of the film Black Sunday

Is overlong in places, but the depth of the main characters more than makes up for it. Bruce Dern is wonderful, but Robert Shaw makes the movie.

  6. Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Black Sunday

Entertaining thriller offers some solid suspense and action, even if it does go on way too long. Some generic thriller conventions are given extra depth by strong characters - particularly Bruce Dern's whacked-out ex-GI terrorist. Director John Frankenheimer's gritty, no-frills style brings a much needed sense of reality to the somewhat absurd story. Great score by John Williams.
